What's a pack?

A custom pack is a collection of single-use devices needed for a specific medical or surgical procedure, according to the end user requirements, and packed in one single sterile pack. The main advantages of this sort of presentation are:

  • Solution adapted to userĀ“s requirements or techniques.
  • All the required items are immediately available to the user, reducing the duration of the preparation time and consequentially the overall duration of the procedure.
  • Single use items presented sterile in a single pack, reducing the products manipulation and therefore the risk of cross contamination.
  • The pack is always complete avoiding missing items or last minute replacements
  • Simplified consumption and stocks organization.
  • Effective costs control.
  • Improved warehouse management.

Packaging

In order to maintain the product
characteristics all our sterile articles
have 3 packaging levels:

  • Sterile barrier system.
  • Inner box.
  • Shipping box.

Sterile barrier system and labelling

Sterile barrier system is the minimum package that prevents ingress of microorganisms and allows aseptic presentation of the product at the point of use. The packaging materials used in the sterile barrier system are adapted to the sterilization method.

Sterile barrier system detachable labels

All our sterile barrier system labels come with four detachable labels that could be placed in patient files, tracking documents or for re-ordering purposes. These labels include information as article reference, lot number and expiry date. Two of them also include a GS1 Datamatrix that allows an easier access to the traceability of each pack.

Inner box and label

The protective packaging is intended to provide additional protection of the sterile items from damage and outside environmental challenges occurring during transportation and handling inside the health-care unit.

Shipping box and label

This level of packaging is designed to provide protection during storage and transportation.
